Eye movements and the reading process.
Do the readers' eyes help them to become better readers?
The nature of eye movement control during reading (Radach et al., 2004) includes the fixations and saccades that the reader’s eyes perform during this process. Today we already know that a fixation stage lasts around .250 milliseconds. In this stage the eyes locate a content word and comprehension is achieved.
